Tourist tax

In The Hague, as in many other municipalities in the Netherlands, Tourist Tax applies to any stay in a hotel or apartment.

This city tax is not included in the price of the night and must be paid on arrival via reception or online payment.

The tourist tax is then paid by The Penthouse to the municipality of The Hague.    

• Rate per July 1, 2020: € 5.35 per guest, per night

No tourist tax is due for:    

• Guests under the age of 13    
• Guests who live in The Hague and are registered there. They must bring a completed 'Hagenaars Declaration' from the Municipality of The Hague when checking in.
